I spent the first 30 years of my life feeling depressed and sorry for myself. I preyed to God several times a day to come and save me.
Thank goodness the following 35 years have been very positive and I?ve accomplished many goals and feel great about myself. Several realizations triggered my recovery:
1. I learned that it was my thoughts about my circumstances that were creating my feelings (my inner reality)
and not the circumstances themselves.
2. I learned that God helps those who help themselves.
3. I realized that it was going to be up to me to be my own ?cavalry? and ride to my own rescue, and nobody
else was coming to my rescue. So it was totally up to me to save myself.
4. I accepted that responsibility and I learned self-hypnosis so that I could get in touch with my inner self
(unconscious mind) and reprogram my thoughts.
Tough Love: Find the tools that will help you (form many that would be hypnosis & NLP), be patient with yourself, save yourself, and get on with your life. It?s your thoughts that are depressing you, and it will be your thoughts that save you.
