?Text from your computer. Sync?d with your Android phone.?
Well here is good news for Android users! Techcrunch reports that Ex-Googlers Maneesh Arora and Amit Sangani have launched a beta version of MightyText ? an app that is very similar to Apple?s iMessage.
Now iMessage is an iOS app (scheduled to be released this summer) that allows users to send texts, photos, videos, contact information, and group messages over Wi-Fi or 3G to other iOS?5 users ? essentially working between Apple users. But this is not the case for MightyText. It allows Android users to send text to anyone they usually do, whether they are on iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, or any feature phone. By using their new web app, MightyText lets any Android user to send & receive texts from practically any device.
Synching with an existing Android user?s number, it organizes all the texts, picture messages and calls.? It basically allows remote access to the phone from any device by associating with the cell number provided. Unlike cross-platform apps like Whatsapp & Viber, users don?t have to get their friends to install the app to be able to send and receive messages. They can text from their phone as they would normally do, pushing those messages to any computer, tablet, or phone ? anywhere in the world.
And by the way, MightyText is 100% free.
